08:23 My final thoughts
My opinion from the end of the video:
The maximum volume (without saturation) is essentially the same for both.
I prefer the look, shape, and feel of the Joyo…by a small margin.
I prefer the sound of the Phil Jones…by a small margin.
Pros for Joyo:
Power bank and audio interface (which I will never use). It’s fair to say that Phil Jones has implemented an option for powering through a Power Bank in the new X4C model.
Pros for Phil Jones:
Input Gain knob (on Joyo You need to set the input volume using the bass guitar volume pot).
All other features are unimportant to me, like bluetooth, the Joyo’s compressor or Phil Jones’s nicer knobs…All, except for one thing – the price. The Phil Jones costs 5 times more than the Joyo.
Is Phil Jones 5 times better than Joyo, definitely not! It is questionable whether it is better at all!
While no monetary compensation was received for this review, Joyo amplifier was provided by the manufacturer for my consideration.
All opinions remain my own!
Recording technician – Ladislav Kubik (who provided the PJB amp).
