Asturias by Isaac Albeniz is one of those golden pieces that classical guitarists love. It’s intense, unrelenting, and full of passionate Spanish idioms that have captured both musicians and the general public for decades.
Although it requires excellent technique and control to play well there are parts that are actually easier to play than you might think. Once you have the main motif of six notes sorted, all you have to do is add to B notes in-between each of them and you’ll have it down.
Those two notes are:
– open B
– B on the 7th fret of the first string
So it’s melody note followed by two Bs; rinse repeat
